The 2018 FKF Cup is set to kick off this weekend with 31 matches lined up between June 1, and June 3, 2018, across different venues.

This year’s edition, sponsored by leading online betting firm SportPesa, will see the winner pocket Ksh 2 Million, with the runners-up taking home Ksh 1 Million. The third and fourth placed teams will get Ksh 750,000 and Ksh 500,000 respectively.

Defending Champions AFC Leopards will kick off their campaign against FKF Division One League side Shabana on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu.

Losing finalists Kariobangi Sharks, meanwhile, will be in action on Friday against Nanyuki Youth at the Nanyuki Stadium.

Gor Mahia got the tourney underway with a 5-1 win over FKF Division One League side SS Assad. The match, which had earlier been slated for June 3, 2018, was played on Sunday, May 27, 2018, at the Mbaraki Sports Club.

AFC Leopards will kick-start their title defence against Shabana at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu starting at 3 pm.

Sony Sugar, who finished third in the 2017 edition, will be up against Rainforest at the Karuturi Grounds in Naivasha. The latter bowed out at the round of 32 stage in the 2017 edition at the hands of Bidco United and will be hoping to make a good account of themselves.

Vihiga United, meanwhile, will be at the Kericho Green Stadium to face Nyamira All-Stars. Vihiga had a good run in the 2017 edition, edging out Tusker in the quarterfinals before falling to AFC Leopards in the semifinals played in Nakuru.

Two matches will be played at Camp Toyoyo. KenPoly will host Savannah Cement at 10 pm before Nairobi Water face off with Wazito FC in the second match, set to kick off at 12 pm.
