Four boys’ teams will converge at the Garissa University on Tuesday 23 April 2019 to contest the North Eastern Chapa Dimba na Safaricom title.

Of the four only Jamia FC will be making a return to the finals. They will be joined by Al Ansar from Wajir, Dadaab United from Dadaab and home team Berlin FC from Garissa.

Berlin and Dadaab United will kick off the games on Tuesday morning ushering in the second semifinal later in the day between Jamia – the beaten semifinalists last year by eventual winners Al Hayat – and Al Ansar. Winners from the two games will face off in the final on Wednesday morning.

Jamia were last to book their ticket for the final after seeing off Evershine from Takaba’s Evershine FC 2-1 on Saturday morning.

Berlin and Dadaab United had worked their way to the finals the day before after topping their respective pools in the final round of games held in Garissa. Three first timers from Fafi, Masalani and Ijara participated in the last round games.

The winner from the North Eastern contest will become the seventh boys team to qualify for the National finals set for June 2019 at the Kinoru Stadium in Meru.

Lugari Blue Saints (Western), Manyatta United (Nyanza), Super Solico (Eastern), Al Ahly (Rift Valley), Shimanzi Youth (Coast) and Euronuts (Central) are already confirmed for the Meru showdown.
