Kibera Black Stars, for the second time this season, walked home with all three points, this time at the expense of struggling Nakuru All-Stars, in a match played on Sunday, February 25, 2018, at the Hope Center.

Black Stars consequently rises to third on the log with seven points from three matches and only beaten to top spot via goal difference.

“I am happy that my boys maintained concentration to the final whistle. Our opponents were quite defensive but I’m glad we found a way past them,” said an elated Black Stars coach, Godfrey Oduor.

Earlier on at the same venue, Kangemi All-Stars had eased past Administration Police on a 2-0 scoreline. The win was the second in a row after a similar 2-0 win over Nakuru All-Stars in their last match played at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru.

Meanwhile, at Camp Toyoyo, KCB narrowly edged past Ushuru 1-0, in the first match of a doubleheader that had been scheduled for Sunday. Simon Abuko picked up from where he left last season, netting the lone goal in the 81st minute.

In the second match that was slated for 4.15 pm, Nairobi City Stars were handed all three points and a two-goal cushion after their would-be opponents Muhoroni Youth failed to show up. The latter has absconded their first three matches of the season and face relegation to the third tier Division One League.

Police also shot to the top of the log after a hard fought 3-2 win over Modern Coast Rangers at the Karuturi Grounds in Naivasha. The law enforcers were held to a barren stalemate in their first match against FC Talanta, before getting easy pickings in their last outing that saw their opponents Muhoroni Youth fail to turn up.

At the Awendo Green Stadium, Western Stima trounced hosts Isibania 1-0, courtesy of a second-half strike by Junior Mukisa. The win sees Stima rise to second on the log with seven points from three outings. Isibania, who were top of the log after round two, have dropped to fifth place with six points from three matches.

Three matches were played on Saturday, February 24, 2018. Green Commandos were handed a first defeat of the season at home to FC Talanta. Kisumu All-Stars, in the meantime, got a debut win of the season after edging out GFE 105 2-1 at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu. At the Mbaraki Sports Club, Coast Stima was held to a 2-2 draw by fellow powermen Nairobi Stima.
