CECAFA: Starlets humiliate hosts Uganda

Harambee Starlets started their chase for the 2016 CEACAFA Women Championship on a high with a 4-0 beating of home side Uganda at the Njeru Technical Institute on Sunday 11 September 2016.

Esse Akida was the toast for the Starlets scoring a brace, the first four minutes into second half and the second with two minutes left.

Mary Kinuthia opened the scoring in the 22nd minute for a 1-0 halftime lead. Corazon Aquino, who came on for Doreen Nabwire, scored the third in the 75th minute.

The starlets could seal their place in the semis with a win over Burundi on Tuesday 13 September at the same venue starting 2pm EAT.
