The national U17 football team wrapped up their CECAFA U17 Championships experience in Burundi with a fourth-place finish.

This is following a 4-1 loss to Uganda in the third-place playoff played on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at the Ngozi stadium in Burundi.

The loss came after Kenya had suffered a 2-1 defeat to Tanzania in the semifinals played on April 25, 2018, at the Muyinga Stadium.

Kenya played five matches in the course of the tourney, winning one, losing three and sharing the spoils once.

The team forms part of FKF’s long-term football development agenda, which involves giving the youth a sporting chance early in their football development life cycle.
