    The Chapa Dimba Na Safaricom Tournament will head to Kisii this coming weekend; Saturday 9 – 10 Sunday, for the Nyanza Regional finals at the Gusii Stadium.

    Four boys and four girls’ teams will battle out for the two slots available to represent the region in the National finals to be held in Nairobi in March 2018.

    Boys’ semifinals (Saturday 9th December)

    1. Awendo Academy versus Nyamira Super Eagles – 12:30 PM
    2. Ombek Red Devils versus Manyatta – 2:30 PM

    Girls’ semifinals

    1. Omebera Girls versus Plateau Queens – 8:30 AM
    2. Ekenyoro versus Ugari Starlets – 10:30 AM

    The finals will be played on Sunday 10th December at the same venue with the winners in each category getting Ksh 200,000 and a trophy while the losing finalists will go home with Ksh 100,000 and a trophy as well courtesy of tournament sponsors Safaricom.

    At the grand finale set for March 2018 in Nairobi, the winning teams will walk away with Sh 1 million each and an opportunity to go for an international training and mentorship camp in London with Kenyan International Victor Wanyama in April 2018.

    Safaricom has invested Sh100 million towards the program which includes Sh10m worth of prizes as well as funds for the renovation of select community pitches through a legacy programme.
