Chapa Dimba Na Safaricom Football Tournament heads to Mombasa this weekend for the end of year matches set to be played in different venues across the region.

A total of 15 matches will be played in North Coast and South Coast while final preliminary matches will also be played in North Eastern. After these weekend, the two regions – Mombasa and North Eastern winners that will be played in the Regional finals will be known.

Regionals

Three regions have so far finished their finals and winners that will proceed to the National finals set for Nairobi in March 2018 determined; Rift Valley, Nyanza and Eastern while five more regions will host their finals from early next year; Mombasa, Western, Nairobi, Central and North Eastern.

Chapa Dimba Na Safaricom Tournament Director Chris Amimo says; “We’ve had a good tournament so far with a lot of exciting young talent unearthed. We break for the festivities after the matches in Mombasa and North Eastern this weekend and resume in January.”

At the grand finale set for March 2018 in Nairobi, the winning teams will walk away with Ksh 1 Million each and an opportunity to go for an international training and mentorship camp in London with Kenyan International Victor Wanyama in April 2018. Safaricom has invested Ksh100 million towards the program which includes Ksh10m worth of prizes as well as funds for the renovation of select community pitches through a legacy programme.
