Football Kenya Federation, in partnership with leading telecommunications company Safaricom, will on Saturday, September 15, 2018, launch the second edition of the Chapa Dimba na Safaricom Youth Tournament at the Woodley Grounds starting 9 am.
Curtains came down on the inaugural edition of the tourney on Sunday, March 25, 2018, at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega, with Kapenguria Heroes emerging Champions. Plateau Queens, meanwhile, won the Girls’ title.
The tourney, which targets players under the age of 20 years, gave a chance to close to 34,000 players from 1700 teams across the country to showcase their talents at the grass root level.
The 2018/2019 season is thus scheduled to kick off in due course with cash prizes and a trip to Spain at stake for the winners.
