A total of 89 matches will be played across different venues as the Chapa Dimba Na Safaricom Tournament enters Stage Two in Nyanza this weekend on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th November 2017.
In the Nyanza North Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Branch, a total of 25 matches will be played; 18 boys and 5 girls’ games. In Nyanza South, 22 boys and 3 girls’ matches will be played while in the Nyanza West Branch 32 boys and 9 girls matches will be played across different venues.
Tournament Director Chris Amimo says “We expect a competitive weekend considering we only have champions from the initial stage participating this time around. So far we have seen good football and loads of talent and as teams’ eye a place in the regional finals in subsequent weekends we expect the stakes at the weekend to be a lot higher.”
285 Stage One matches were played last weekend across different sub-branches and after stage two the qualifying teams will move into inter-Sub Branches and finally into the Regional Finals where the boys and girls winners will represent Nyanza in the National finals to be played in Nairobi early next year.
Stage one matches will also be activated in four sub-branches in North Eastern this weekend; Wajir, Mandera, Garissa and Daadab.
