Chapa Dimba: 42 teams proceed to the next stage from Nyanza West

A total of 84 matches were played over the weekend as the Chapa Dimba Na Safaricom Tournament entered Nyanza West over the weekend.  Of the 84 matches played, 72 were played by boys while 12 were girl matches.


At Sindo, Black Blad progressed to the next level by beating Harambee FC 3-1 and Sindo FC 2-0. Homeboys beat Sumba FC 2-0 Rangwa Rangers 1-0 while Loving Example beat Roo Simba 2-0 to go to the next stage.

In Homabay Sub County, Sero FC moved to the next level after registering identical 2-0 wins against Flamingo FC, Marine Army FC and Lala Secondary School. In a different venue in the same sub-county, Mwangaza FC joined Sero Fc in qualifying by humbling Aspire Academy 5-0 and Jua Kali FC 2-0.

In Rangwe Sub County, Lwaho also qualified by beating Chweya FC 2-1 and walloping Ludhe Dongo 6-1. They were joined by Aoch Muga FC who beat Omoche FC by a solitary goal and played to a one-all draw with Gul Kagembe FC.

In Ndhiwa Sub County, Ndhiwa FC proceeded to the next level by beating both Kabiero and Sungura FC 2-0 while Malela beat Kome FC by the same goal margin.

Qualified boy teams

Blak Blad, Homeboys, Loving Example, God Bura, Dankuring FC, Sero FC, Mwangaza FC, Lwaho, Aoch Muga, Ndhiwa FC, Malela, Magina, Nyarongi United, Minya, Kata Ndogo FC, Abura, Kodera Bara FC, Kanyawanga, Awendo Academy, Siruti, Mukuyu FC, Migori Youth Academy, Osingo, Jovena, Kibuon, Kuja FC, Bondo Kosiemo, Kehancha Secondary, Nyamaharaga and Rapogi have all qualified to the next stage.


Moi Girls, Rusinga Girls, Magare Girls, Aluor, Osani Ladies, Rakwaro, Sinaywera Ladies, Mukuyu FC, Ugari Starlets, Kehancha Ladies and Mori Ladies all qualified to the next stage from Nyanza South.

Weekend matches

This coming weekend (Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd October) Chapa Dimba Na Safaricom moves to Western for the second stage where respective pool winners from the first stage meet and to Eastern Region for the finals where four boys winners and four girls winners that will qualify for the Regional finals set for the weekend of 25th and 26th November will be identified.
