FKF Division One League Zone A table-toppers Kangemi All-Stars, and their Zone B counterparts Green Commandoes are set to face Ligi Ndogo and Eldoret Youth respectively in fixtures that could determine their promotion fate.
Kangemi, at the summit of the Zone A league with 52 points from 22 matches, will face Ligi Ndogo at the latter’s grounds along Ngong Road. Kangemi only needs three points from her last two matches against Ligi Ndogo and Liberty Sports Academy to be assured of automatic promotion.
Meanwhile, in Kakamega, Green Commandoes will be up against Eldoret Youth. The hosts have opened up a seven-point gap between them and second-placed Timsales. Green Commandoes have however played two matches more.
Eldoret Youth still has a slim chance of grabbing at least a playoff spot. The Eldoret outfit is ten points shy of league leaders Green Commandoes, but with a game in hand. Only three points separate Eldoret Youth and second-placed Timsales.
Mombasa based Coast Stima, second on the Zone A log with 51 points from 23 matches, will not be in action this weekend. The Powermen are assured of a playoff spot. Their closest challengers, third-placed Green Berets, are nine points adrift of Stima with only two matches to play.
