FC Talanta pulled a surprise over favorites Ushuru, edging out the Taxmen 1-2 at Camp Toyoyo. Nairobi Stima also caught up with league leaders Vihiga United after the latter failed to find a way past a resolute Palos FC. Four draws were recorded in match week 15, played on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 May 2017

Ushuru came into their match against FC Talanta hoping to close in on league leaders Vihiga United but were pegged back by a back heel by Bill Oporia in the 19th minute. Barrack Odhiambo restored parity from the spot six minutes later but it is FC Talanta who had the last laugh when Vincent Wasambo hit the winner with 20 minutes left.  Ushuru is now fourth on the log with 28 points from 14 games while FC Talanta is 12th with 19 points from 14 matches

Meanwhile, league leaders Vihiga United remained top despite dropping points against Palos in a match played at the Mumias Sports Complex on Saturday 27 May. Vihiga is tied on points with Nairobi Stima, but with a superior goal difference; 14 goals against Nairobi Stima’s 10. The latter edged out Kibera Black Stars 1-0 at the Cray Fish Grounds in Naivasha. Nairobi Stima has amassed 32 points, having won nine, drawn five and lost only once in 15 matches. KCB meanwhile, got back to winning ways with a 1-0 triumph over Administration Police. The Bankers are fifth, level on points with Ushuru but with an inferior goal difference

On Saturday, struggling Bidco United forced Nairobi City Stars to a 0-0 stalemate at the Thika sub-county Stadium. The draw, the fourth this season for Bidco, was not enough to lift them from the relegation zone. The Thika-based side is ranked 18th with a paltry seven points from 15 matches. City Stars, on the other hand, is 10th with 19 points from 14 matches
