Emerging Stars coach Francis Kimanzi has named five foreign-based players in the National U23 football team ahead of Kenya’s Africa U23 Cup of Nations Qualifier against Mauritius.

England based duo of Jonah Ayunga and Henry Ochieng have been called up, as has Georgia based Alwyn Tera. Harambee Stars duo of Ovella Ochieng (Sweden) and Joseph Okumu (USA) have also earned a call-up.

Earlier on Sunday, a provisional squad of 57 players, who had undergone a two-day assessment for possible inclusion into the team, was trimmed to an 18-man final squad that is set to hit camp on Friday, November 9, 2018.
