Football Kenya Federation has since September 24, 2018, conducted anti-doping workshops for FKF National Super League clubs across the country.
KCB FC, Nairobi Stima, Ushuru, and City Stars got the workshops underway in Nairobi before the team shifted to Mombasa for a session with Coast Stima and Modern Coast Rangers. Action will culminate on Friday, October 5, 2018, in Kisumu with a session with Western Stima, Kisumu All-Stars, Migori Youth and Green Commandos.
“This is the first time our players are being taken through anti-doping sessions. We are glad that we have successfully traversed the country, thus having a positive impact on all players in the NSL,” said FKF NEC Member for Central David Njoroge, who heads the FKF Medical Committee.
“As a Federation, we are committed to the spirit of fair play and as such, our partnership with ADAK will go a long way in sensitizing our players to play clean,” he added.
The workshops are aimed at sharing information about anti-doping with the players so as to sensitize them on what to do and what not to, in regards to the use of prohibited substances.
