Football Kenya Federation, in line with its long-term vision of improving the level of officiating in the country, today, Monday, January 22, 2018, rolled out a one week Physical Endurance Test (PET) for match officials that are set to take charge of both the Kenyan Premier League and the National Super League.
The training, which is the first of four scheduled to be held this year, will see the match officials taken through a couple of endurance and agility drills to test their physical ability as well as medical tests to ascertain whether they are fit to officiate.

“The main aim of the training is to ensure that all our match officials are fit and in good health going into the new season,” said FKF Referees Manager Silvester Kirwa.
“As a federation, we remain committed to progressively improving the level of officiating in the country as it forms an integral part of the game.

“As such, in addition to the PET, the match officials will also be taken through the laws of the game in an effort aimed at ensuring that they keep abreast with the ever-changing laws,” explained Kirwa.
A total of 120 match officials are taking part in the training, with a further 76 from both the National Division One and National Division Two set to report for the same on Thursday, January 25, 2017.
