FKF President Nick Mwendwa has reprimanded the acts of hooliganism witnessed during a top tier match pitting Gor Mahia against AFC Leopards on August 25, 2018, at the MISC Kasarani.

The match witnessed a 10-minute stoppage as fans expressed their disapproval with Gor Mahia’s second goal through destruction of the Stadium’s facilities.

“We are doing a lot as a Federation to lobby for better infrastructure. It is thus disappointing that we witnessed the destruction of the only facility we have for high-level international matches,” decried FKF President Nick Mwendwa.

“We have written to the Kenyan Premier League to take necessary action,” he added.

The MISC Kasarani stadium is the only facility fit to host High-level international matches and is in line to host the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier pitting Kenya against Ghana on September 8, 2018.
