FKF releases funds to Branches

Football Kenya Federation (FKF) on Thursday 9 February released Kshs 2 million to be shared equally across 20 national branches.

FKF President Nick Mwendwa while overseeing the handover said that the Kshs 2 million is the first of four tranches for the year as the branches are liable to receive the same amounts each quarter for a total of Kshs 8 million for the year.

The figure handed out relates to 10% of received sponsorship and according to Mwendwa, the more FKF receives the more will trickle down to the grassroots as that is where football begins.

“This money is for supporting grass-root football because that is where football in the country begins and I want to call for the good use of the money as we work on getting more from partners to continue growing the game,” he noted.
