Football Kenya Federation, in partnership with leading Telecommunication company Safaricom, and Spanish top tier league La Liga, has launched the third edition of the Chapa Dimba na Safaricom Youth Tournament.

The tourney targets boys and girls under the age of 20, where teams are set to battle it out from the grassroots level.

Eight Boys teams and Eight Girls teams from eight regions across the country will then partake the national finals, set to be held in Mombasa in June 2020, where the ultimate winner will walk away with KES 1 Million as well as gift hampers from tournament sponsors Safaricom.

“Chapa Dimba is our core youth development project and we are thankful to Safaricom for partnering with us for yet another edition. As a Federation, we remain committed to tapping talent right from the grassroots and this tourney is key,” said FKF President Nick Mwendwa.

“We have had success stories of players who have since joined Kenyan Premier League and National Super League sides as well as the junior national teams and we are eager to keep this conveyer belt of talent development active,” he added.
