Gor Mahia is through to the round of 16 of the FKF SportPesa Shield following a 5-0 win over Nairobi County League side KenPoly FC in a match played on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.

A hattrick by Ephrem Guikan coupled with a goal from the spot by Lawrence Juma and an own goal by Davis Handa saw the 2013 finalists ease to the last 16.

Meanwhile, at the Afraha Stadium, Kakamega Homeboyz failed to turn up for their match against Ulinzi Stars. A decision on the outcome of the match will hence be made in due course.

14 more matches will be played this weekend as the race for the ultimate prize, whose winner is entitled to a Ksh 2 Million prize as well as a chance to represent the country in next season’s CAF Confederations Cup, hots up.
