Gor Mahia has been pooled in Group D of the 2018/2019 CAF Confederations Cup, following a draw held on Monday, January 21, 2019.

This follows their 2-1 win on aggregate over Cameroonian side New Star de Douala in the playoff round.

The SportPesa Premier League defending champions will be up against NA Hussein Dey (Algeria), Petro Atletico (Angola) and Zamalek SC (Egypt).

The first round of matches will be played on February 3, 2019, with group stage action set to culminate on March 17, 2019. Top two teams from each group will grace the quarterfinals of the second tier club continental showpiece, which comes along with an extra financial incentive.
