Gor Mahia will kick off their FKF SportPesa Shield campaign with a match against Division One League side SS Assad on Sunday, May 27, 2018, at the Mbaraki Sports Club.

The match, which had earlier been scheduled for June 3, 2018, was brought forward, upon the request of the Kenyan Premier League Club.

Gor fell to Bandari in post-match penalties in the 2017 edition at the Thika Stadium. The KPL defending champions will be hoping to give a good account of themselves in the 2018 edition.

The tournament will see the champion take home Ksh 2 Million, as well as a chance to take part in the CAF Confederations Cup next season.
