Kenyan Premier League defending champions Gor Mahia clinched the 2018 SportPesa Super Cup following a 2-0 win over Tanzanian side Simba SC in the final played on Sunday, June 10, 2018, at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru.

Meddie Kagere opened the scores in the fifth minute, with Jacques Tuyisenge doubling the scores in the 54th minute to see Gor Mahia retain the trophy on home soil.

K’ogallo consequently takes home a ksh 3 Million prize, as well as a chance to play English Premier League side Everton at Goodison Park in July.

Earlier, Tanzanian side Singida had edged out Kakamega Homeboyz 4-1 in post-match penalties to finish third. The match ended 1-1 in regulation time.
