Beijing Raiders and Gor Mahia Youth are the winners of the Nairobi Region Chapa Dimba na Safaricom Youth tournament finals played on Sunday, March 18, 2018, at the Stima Club
Gor Mahia Youth edged out Slum Dwellers 3-0, courtesy of a goal from the spot by Alpha Onyango and a brace by Selassie Otieno. Beijing Raiders, on the other hand, walloped Acakoro 5-0. Selvine Kosowa, Maxmilia Rhobi, Pauline Atieno (brace) and Annette Matinde were on target for the victors.
The two teams have consequently earned a ticket to represent Nairobi region in the National Finals slated for Kakamega, between March 22 and March 25, 2018.
Esnas Kisia took home the golden glove in the girl’s category, while three players, Sarah Atieno, Annette Atieno and Salome Kosowa each scored three goals to emerge top scorers. Acakoro’ Diana Hashila emerged the Most Valuable Player.

In the boy’s category, Gor Mahia Youth’s Selassie Otieno walked home with the golden boot while his counterpart Caleb Omondi emerged the best goalkeeper. Mathew Mwendwa was the Most Valuable Player.
All is now set ahead of the National finals in Kakamega, where a Ksh 1million in prize money and a chance to spend a week with Kenyan and Tottenham Hotspurs Midfielder Victor Wanyama in the UK is at stake.
Teams that qualify for the semifinals are set to pocket ksh 250,000 each, while the finalists will each pocket Ksh 500,000.
