The Kenya Women’s National Team, Harambee Starlets, held their final training session on Monday, October 7, 2019, ahead of the second leg of their Olympic qualifiers against Ghana tomorrow.

Starlets safely jetted back into the country on Sunday, October 6, 2019, from Ghana where the team took part in the first leg of the Qualifier against the Black Queens which ended in a 0-0 draw.

“I am happy with how my team played in Ghana as we had good defense organization that hindered Ghana chances to score against us,” said the Harambee Starlets coach, David Ouma.

He continued to say, “I have high expectations for a positive result in the game tomorrow since we are playing at home, in familiar grounds. We have learned Ghana’s strengths and weaknesses as a team and will use them to our advantage.”

FKF President, Nick Mwendwa, meanwhile, expressed optimism in the game tomorrow.

“Ghana is a strong team that has reached the world cup and had never drawn with any other team so far apart from us, therefore, I feel the team is ready to play the game and give us a positive result,” said the president, Nick Mwendwa.

The match is set to kick off at 4 pm EAT at the MISC Kasarani stadium with free entry.
