The National Football team, Harambee Starlets, has jetted back into the country after a successful outing in the first round of the Africa Women Cup of Nations Qualifiers.
Starlets held Uganda to a barren draw in a match played on Sunday, April 8, 2018, at the StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo, Uganda. Earlier, on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, the team had won the first leg match 1-0 in Machakos, courtesy of a long-range strike by right-back Lilian Adera.

The aggregate win consequently guarantees Kenya a date with Equatorial Guinea in the second and final qualifying round, set to be played between June 4, and June 12, 2018.

Kenya made a maiden appearance at the 2016 Africa Women Cup of Nations in Cameroon, bowing out in the first round at the hands of Ghana, Mali, and Nigeria.
