The National Women Football team, Harambee Starlets, managed an impressive 3-0 win over Zambia in an International Friendly match played on Sunday, March 25, 2018, at the Arthur Davis Stadium in Kitwe.

Second half substitute Corazon Aquino twice scored from the spot, to add onto a first-half strike by Mwanahalima Adam. The hosts couldn’t master a way past Starlets’ defense.

Focus now shifts to the AWCON qualifier against Uganda scheduled for April 4, and 7, 2018 in Nairobi and Uganda respectively.

Should Kenya dump Uganda out in the first round, only Equatorial Guinea will stand in the way of Starlets’ second appearance at the Africa Women Cup of Nations.

Kenya made a maiden appearance at the 2016 edition in Cameroon, bowing out in the first round.
