Harambee Starlets see off Egypt in friendly

    A Vivian Corazon thunderbolt into the roof of the net saw Harambee Starlets post a 1-0 win over Egypt in an International friendly match played on Friday 28th October at the Moi International Sports Center Kasarani.

    Starlets dominated proceedings with Captain Mary Kinuthia giving the visitors a hard time for the better part of the match. Left back Wendy Achieng could have doubled the scores from a free-kick but saw her effort come off the upright.

    The friendly match was the second in a week after the Starlets narrowly lost to Cameroon in a match played on Saturday 22nd October at the same venue.

    Starlets will look to carry this form to the Africa Women Cup of Nations to be played in Cameroon between 19th November and 3rd December 2016. The Starlets have been paired against Nigeria, Ghana and Mali.
