Harambee Stars set to leave for Iraq ahead of friendlies

    The National Football team, Harambee Stars, is set to leave for Iraq today, October 2, 2017, ahead of two International friendly matches against Iraq and Thailand

    Local based players reported to camp on Sunday, October 1, 2017, and held a light training session on Monday morning before their scheduled departure later in the evening

    Meanwhile, Zambian quintet of Anthony Akumu, Jesse Were, David Owino, Cliffton Miheso and John Mark Makwatta will report to camp on Monday afternoon while the rest of the foreign-based players will link up with the team in Doha, Qatar

    Kenya will face off with hosts Iraq on Thursday, October 5, 2017, at the Basra Stadium before taking on Thailand on Sunday, October 8, 2017, at a venue to be confirmed in due course
