Uganda Cranes second half substitute Moses Waiswa scored in the dying moments of the match to snatch a 1-1 draw for the visitors. The friendly encounter was played at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos as from 1500hrs EAT.
Michael Olunga broke the deadlock in the 34th minute for a 1-0 halftime lead for the hosts. The Ugandans, however, gave a spirited fight in the second half, managing a late equalizer to end the tie even.
Stars are back in camp in Machakos to prepare for their second friendly match against DR Congo, set to be played on Sunday 26th at the same venue.
The friendly matches are a build-up to the first round of the 2019 AFCON qualifiers. Kenya will kick off her campaign against Sierra Leone in June this year.
