Kenya went down 3-0 to India in her second match of the 2018 Hero Intercontinental Cup played on Monday, June 4, 2018, at the Mumbai Football Arena.

Sunil Chhetri, who was playing his 100th match in the hosts’ colours, got India ahead in the 68th minute. Jeje Lalpekhlua then doubled the scoreline only three minutes later. Sunil Chhetri would then complete his brace in added time to see India pull clear at the top of the log, with six points from two matches.

The hosts had earlier on Friday June 1, 2018, dispatched Chinese Taipei 5-0 in the opening match of the tourney. Kenya meanwhile, came from behind to beat New Zealand 2-1.

Harambee Stars will hope to finish among the top two teams when they face off with Chinese Taipei in their final match, slated for June 8, 2018. India, on the other hand, will be up against New Zealand on Thursday, June 7, 2018.
