Kenyan representatives in the CAF Continental Championships, Gor Mahia and Kariobangi Sharks, both lost their respective second leg ties thus bowing out on aggregate.

Gor lost 2-0 to Nigerian side Lobi Stars in the second leg, the match ending 3-3 on aggregate. The latter’s away goal in Nairobi in the first leg was all that mattered in the end.

Sharks, meanwhile, lost 2-1 to Ghanaian side Asante Kotoko, with the first leg having ended in a barren stalemate.

Following the loss, Sharks thus bid the CAF Confederations Cup goodbye while Gor Mahia will be handed a lifeline in the CAF Confederations Cup playoff round.
