It is all systems go for Kenya’s fourth Group F match of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers against Ethiopia scheduled for Sunda,y October 14, 2018, at the MISC Kasarani starting at 4 pm.

The team has held two training sessions since jetting back from Ethiopia, where Kenya held the hosts to a 0-0 draw at the Bahir Dar Stadium, with coach Sébastien Migné exuding confidence in his charges, noting that they are in high spirits ahead of the crucial match.

“Our target is to give a good account of ourselves on Sunday. We have greatly improved defensively as we don’t concede as much as we used to. We will try to work harder offensively and I am confident we will get a positive result,” said coach Migné.

Captain Victor Wanyama, meanwhile, asserted that his teammates are motivated to give a good account of themselves, further calling on fans to turn out in large numbers to fully rally behind the team.

“We are upbeat. Morale in camp and it is this motivation that we need to post positive results,” he said.

The Ethiopian National team, meanwhile, had a feel of the field of play on Saturday evening ahead of the match, with coach Abraham Mebratu exuding confidence in his charges despite them playing away from home.

“In the first match, we missed a lot of chances. We will correct them on Sunday and I am confident that my players will do their best to win the match,” asserted the coach.

Earlier on Friday, Deputy President William Ruto had paid Harambee Stars a courtesy call at their morning training session where he pledged financial support to the team while committing to honoring an earlier pledge that the Government will award them KES 50 Million if they qualify for AFCON. Fans are also set to gain free entry to the Stadium.

Harambee Stars will hope to replicate an outstanding performance against Ghana in their last match at the MISC Kasarani, with a win set to grant Kenya a place in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
