The National football team, Harambee Stars, has narrowly dropped by a place in the latest rankings released by world governing body FIFA on Thursday, February 15, 2018.

Kenya is now ranked 106th in the world and 26th in Africa. In the Eastern Africa region, Kenya is second behind Uganda, ranked 75th in the world.

Harambee Stars’ last assignment in the FIFA International window was a 1-0 loss to Thailand in Bangkok. Prior to the loss, Kenya had earlier gone down 2-1 to Iraq in a friendly match in Basra.

CECAFA

Stars would then win the 2017 CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup in December 2017, after edging out Zanzibar in post match penalties.

Focus now shifts to the March 2018 international friendlies window, where Kenya is slated to take part in two friendly matches.
