Kenya has dropped to 84th in the latest FIFA Rankings released today, Thursday 6 July, a ten place drop from 74th in June

The drop could be attributed to Harambee Stars 2-1 loss to Sierra Leone, ranked 113th in June, in a CAF Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier played on June 10, 2017, away in Sierra Leone. The latter has since recorded a 30 place rise to 83rd, a place above Harambee Stars

Kenya is ranked 18th in Africa and second in the CECAFA region. The team will be taking part in the Africa Nation Championships, with the tourney set to be held in Kenya in January next year
