The Kenya U15 National Team got their CECAFA U15 Championships underway with a 3-1 win over Somalia on Friday, August 16, 2019, at the Cisero Stadium in Asmara, Eritrea.

Andreas Odhiambo (16th Minute), James Gachago (24th Minute), and Andrew Waliaula (63rd Minute) were on target as the Junior Stars got off to a winning note.

The team next faces Sudan in matchday 2 on Sunday, then Burundi on Tuesday next week before winding up their campaign against hosts Eritrea on Thursday, August 22, 2019.

The top two teams from each group will automatically qualify to the semis, set to be played on August 28, while the final has been scheduled for August 30, 2019, in Asmara.
