The Kenya U17 National Football team has on Wednesday, April 3, 2019, jetted out to Alexandria Egypt where the team will be taking part in the Union of North African Federations (UNAF) U18 tournament.

The team, which has been in camp for the past two weeks, held a light training session on Wednesday morning ahead of their departure, with coach Michael Amenga noting that the tournament will be an avenue to expose the Junior Stars.

“Youth development remains key in our agenda and that is why we opted to expose our U17 team through this tournament. We will be coming up against top sides but I am confident the boys will put up a strong performance,” said coach Amenga.

The four-nation tournament will see Kenya face stiff competition from Morocco, Algeria and hosts Egypt.
