Kibera Black Stars was held to a 1-1 draw by Bidco United as St Joseph Youth edged out Modern Coast Rangers in FKF National Super League matches played on October 6, 2017.

Black Stars went ahead on the half-hour mark when Wilson Njuguna struck from the spot after he had been brought down by Bidco goalkeeper Mark Nyakundi. Bidco would, however, restore parity through John Walubuka in the 75th minute to ensure a share of the spoils.

Later on, at the same venue, Palos FC held FC Talanta to a 0-0 stalemate. St Joseph Youth also edged out Modern Coast Rangers 1-0 at the Mbaraki Sports Club, the club’s fourth win in five matches. St Joseph has since jumped out of the relegation zone.

Five matches will be played on Saturday, October 7, 2017, with the highlight being a clash pitting Wazito against Nairobi Stima at Camp Toyoyo.

Nairobi Stima is fourth on the log with 56 points from 27 matches, three points ahead of Wazito. The two sides will be in pursuit of all three points that would get them into the promotion bracket. The match will be staged at Camp Toyoyo starting 3 pm.

Earlier on at the same venue, second-placed KCB will host basement side MOSCA starting 1 pm. KCB will look to take advantage of league leaders Vihiga United’s dip in form. The Bankers trail Vihiga by only one point, and yet have a game in hand. MOSCA, meanwhile, has won only once in their last five matches.

Vihiga United will also be looking to bounce back to winning ways when they face Kenya Police in Naivasha. A 2-1 loss to Kibera Black Stars and a 1-1 draw with Nakuru All-Stars saw Vihiga’s lead at the top slashed to only one point. Vihiga will be looking to make amends against Police, ranked sixth with 40 points from 27 matches

Nakuru All-Stars will also host promotion candidates Ushuru at the Afraha Stadium starting 11 am while at the Kipchoge Keino Stadium in Eldoret, GFE 105 will be up against Isibania
