MOSCA FC, relegated from the National Super League at the close of the 2017 season, commenced their third-tier campaign on a positive note with a 4-0 win over Savannah Cement on Sunday, February 25, 2018, at the Nairobi West Prisons Grounds.

In Zone B, Eldoret Youth and St Joseph Academy were the biggest winners with identical 3-0 wins over Griffin and Silibwet respectively.

New boys Transmara Sugar also edged out Timsales 1-0, while at the Kenyatta Stadium in Kitale, Transfoc were 1-0 winners over Raiply.

Nyakach United edged out Kisumu Hot Stars 1-0 at the Bodi Sec. School Grounds while the matches pitting Bondo United against Poror Mote and Bungoma Super Stars against Shabana ended in 1-1 and 0-0 stalemates respectively.

In Zone A, Strathmore University edged out newcomers Naivas at the Sameer Grounds on Mombasa Road, while at the Kenyatta University Grounds, Fortune Sacco trounced hosts Green Berets 0-2.
