National U20 Women team Technical Lead Musa Otieno is upbeat ahead of the U20 World Cup Qualifier second leg against Ghana slated for Sunday, November 19, 2017, at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.
The junior starlets went down 5-0 to Ghana in the first leg tie staged at the Cape Coast Stadium in Cape Coast, Ghana. Despite the five-goal deficit, coach Musa is confident that the team will give a good account of themselves.
“The scoreline in the first leg is not a reflection of our opponents’ dominance. We made simple mistakes that our opponents took advantage of,” said U20 national team technical lead Musa Otieno
“If we defend as a team and have belief in ourself, we can get a positive result,” added the coach
The team has been given a clean bill of health ahead of the tie, with the only absentees being seven players who are sitting the end year KCSE examinations
