Nairobi Stima suffered a setback in their quest promotion after going down 2-1 to St Joseph Youth in a match played on Friday, September 22, 2017, at the Afraha Stadium

Palos also held Nakuru All-Stars to a 0-0 draw in the other match played at the same venue. Meanwhile, Ushuru and KCB will all be out to narrow the gap with league leaders Vihiga United when they face GFE 105 and Nairobi City Stars respectively in matches slated for Saturday, September 23 and Sunday, September 24, 2017

St Joseph Youth rode on home advantage to dispatch promotion favorites Nairobi Stima 2-1. The win was the team’s fourth this season, coming less than two weeks after St Joseph edged out Ushuru by a similar margin at Camp Toyoyo. Stima has consequently lost footing in the race for promotion, sitting only a point ahead of KCB, who have a game in hand. St Joseph, on the other hand, has risen to 17th, three points above Agro Chemicals

Palos held Nakuru All-Stars to a 0-0 stalemate in the other match played at the same venue. The Kisumu based side has shared spoils more than any other side in the league; 13 draws in 25 matches. Palos lie seventh on the log, two points above Nairobi City Stars
