Football Kenya Federation has confirmed the national U15 football team’s participation in the MIC Football Tournament in Costa Brava, Spain, between April 16 and April 21, 2019.
The Junior Stars will be up against Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Ajax, Manchester United, and Manchester City, among other top European sides, in the U16 category.
The team is currently put up at the Federation’s national center of excellence in Thome, Nairobi, which also has them taking part in daily training sessions at the Wadi Degla club in Runda.
15 players in the team were part of the national U13 team that took part in the annual Southampton Cup in England, in 2016, winning the Shield Trophy.
A friendly match against Jasper Academy, meanwhile, has been lined up on Saturday, January 26, 2019, at the Ruiru Grounds as the team gets in shape for the tourney.
