Football Kenya Federation has appointed Paul Put as the National Football Team Head Coach on a two-year contract.
The Belgian who has previously coached Gambia, Burkina Faso and Jordan said he was happy to be in Kenya.
“It’s like falling in love the first time,” said Put.
“Before taking this job I held several discussions with the president of the Kenyan FA and immediately I was impressed with his vision and passion for the game. And that’s why I decided to sign for Kenya.”
“I believe in my ability and leadership to bring success to the country but I also need everyone to support me, the fans, the media, the FA and everyone who loves football.,” added Put.
In addition to coaching Jordan Gambia and Burkina Faso, Put has also been named coach of the year in Belgium and Africa in 2004 and 2013 respectively.
Other teams he has coached include Belgian clubs SK Lierse and Sporting Lokeren.
