Posta Rangers has retained its place in the 2019/2020 top tier Kenyan Premier League.

This is following a 3-2 win on aggregate over Nairobi Stima in the KPL Promotion Playoff, whose second leg was played on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.

A second-half strike by Stima forward Dennis Oalo was not enough to turn the tie around, as Posta had got themselves on the front foot in the first half courtesy of a Francis Nambute strike. The match ended 1-1.

The first leg played on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at the Karuturi Grounds, had ended 2-1 in favor of Posta.

Stima will thus see their wait for a maiden top tier appearance extend for a year, with yet another competitive second tier season set to kick off in August.
