The National U20 Football team, Rising Stars, stepped up preparations for an upcoming U20 AFCON Qualifier against Rwanda with a 2-0 win over Gor Mahia.

Sydney Lokale and Richard Odanda were on target for the Rising Stars in the friendly match played on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at Camp Toyoyo.

The first leg tie pitting the Rising Stars against Rwanda is set to be played on Sunday, April 1, 2018, at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos, with the return leg slated for between April 20, and April 22, 2018.

The team has been in camp in Nairobi for one month, ahead of the first-round tie. Should Kenya edge past Rwanda, a two-legged fixture against Zambia will be in line for the Rising Stars in the second round.
