    Sony Sugar edged out Bandari 3-1 to set up a semifinal date with Kariobangi Sharks in a match played today, August 19, 2017, at the Nyayo National Stadium. Earlier on at the same venue, Kariobangi Sharks eased past Eldoret Youth, the match ending 5-0

    Sony Sugar avenged a 1-0 loss to Bandari in a first leg Kenya Premier League match played in Awendo to dump the Coastal side out of the GOtv Shield tournament. Amos Asembeka scored twice from the spot to add onto an early goal by Yemi Mwana, who was giving the Bandari defense a hard time. Baron Jobita got a consolation for Bandari

    Kariobangi Sharks

    Earlier on, Kariobangi Sharks whitewashed Division One side Eldoret Youth 5-0. Harambee Stars call up Masoud Juma scored a brace to add onto goals by Sanneh Ebrimah, Duke  Abuya, and Sven Yidah

    Sharks were in control for the better part of the match, save for an early scare when Eldoret youth were denied by the crossbar. Masoud poked in from close range to give Sharks a 1-0 halftime lead. Eldoret Youth crumbled in the second half, conceding four more, consequently crashing out of the tournament

    Two more matches will be played tomorrow, August 20, 2017. Tusker will square it out with NSL league leaders Vihiga United at 1 pm before AFC Leopards face Wazito at 3.15 pm
