Harambee Stars coach Stanley Okumbi has named his final 19-man squad to take on the Democratic Republic of Congo in a friendly match scheduled for Tuesday 4 October at the Stade Des Martyrs in Kinshasa at 2030hrs EAT.

Coach Stanley Okumbi, after consultation with Tottenham Hotspurs, has opted against calling up Harambee Stars Team Captain Victor Wanyama.  The decision was made in the player’s best interest, as the technical bench felt that it would not be in Victor’s best interest to play two matches in two continents in under 48 hours. Abud Omar, Michael Olunga, Ismael Gonzalez and Amos Ekhalie will link up with the team in DRC ahead of the match.

Stars leave for DRC today, October 3, 2016, at noon and are expected back on Thursday, October 5, 2016, at 9am.
