The Kenya National Football team, Harambee Stars, has on Saturday, September 8, 2018, dug out a 1-0 win over Ghana in an Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier played at the MISC Kasarani.

Nicholas Opoku scored a first-half own goal while trying to thump away a low cross by Eric Johanna under pressure from Stars forward Michael Olunga, a lead Stars held onto until halftime.

Kenya would be reduced to ten men in the second half when Joash Onyango brought down Thomas Partey when the latter was clear on goal. Stars however held onto the slim lead to pick up maximum points.

The win sees Kenya draw level on three points each with Ghana and Sierra Leone. The latter is however set to take on Ethiopia later on Saturday.

Up next is an international friendly match against Malawi slated for Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at the MISC Kasarani starting at 3 pm EAT.
