Update on Harambee Stars, Malawi friendly

    The National team Harambee Stars is set to play Malawi on April 18, 2017 at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos. In light of the aforementioned the team reported to camp on Sunday, April 9, 2017 and has so far had three training sessions two yesterday and one this morning.

    Coach Stanley Okumbi has moved to replace five Gor Mahia players who were unable to report to camp due to club engagements. The five have been replaced by Brian Birgen (Ulinzi FC), Victor Majid (Chemilil FC), Zeka Wakoli (GFE FC), Victor Ogedo (Nzoia FC), Shami Mwinyi (Thika United), Ian Otieno (AFC Leopards) and James Saruni (Ulinzi FC)

    AFC Leopards Paul Kiongera is out injured, Ulinzi Stars Omar Bongi has been sent for further military studies and is also unavailable for the match while Tusker FC’s Noah Wafula has been given time off to condole with his family following the recent passing of his son.The player will however join the team later in the week.

    Malawi are expected in the country this coming Sunday, April 16, 2017 at 1820hrs.
