Ushuru kept their place at the top of the FKF National Super League following a 2-1 come from behind win over visiting Shabana on Friday, January 11, 2019, at the Ruaraka Grounds.

Shabana had a promising start to the match with Ekaliani Ndolo getting the Glamour Boys ahead in the 19th minute.

Edwin Mwaura would however restore parity ten minutes later when he headed in an in-swinging corner kick by Evans Maliachi for a 1-1 halftime score.

Ushuru got a scare in the second half when midfielder Barrack Odhiambo was sent off for an off the ball incident.

The Taxmen would however get the winner courtesy of second half substitute Jeremiah Wanjala header, Maliachi yet again the provider.

Wazito, meanwhile, maintained second place with a 2-0 win over Eldoret Youth in one of three matches played at Camp Toyoyo. Kennedy Ayako and David Orem were on target for Wazito.

Kibera Black Stars was held to a barren draw in the late kickoff while Kangemi All Stars had earlier on in the first match played out a 1-1 draw with Coast Stima.

Three more matches will be played on Saturday with the highlight being a doubleheader at the Thika Stadium.
