League leaders Vihiga United and second placed Ushuru FC will be in action as the FKF National Super League resumes tomorrow, August 25, 2017. Nine matches have been lined up, with two of them set to be aired live on free to air channel Bamba Sports

Vihiga United, fresh from a 2-0 upset of Tusker in the GOtv Shield quarter-final last weekend, will be looking to carry the same form when they take on St Joseph Youth at the Mumias Sports Complex. Vihiga, set to face AFC Leopards in the GOtv Shield semi-finals, will be hoping to maintain their four-point lead at the top of the table. St Joseph, meanwhile, cannot afford to lose any more match this season, having been rooted in 18th place for the better part of the season

Two matches will be aired live on Bamba Sports from the Camp Toyoyo grounds. The first match will pit FC Talanta against Agro Chemicals at 2 pm. Talanta last won a match in May, a 1-0 win over Administration Police, and will be looking to make amends. Agro Chemicals will also be looking to bounce back from a 1-0 loss to Kenya Police in their last match

Second placed Ushuru will face off with Isibania in the second live match of the day. Ushuru edged out Administration Police 2-0 in a rescheduled match played at the Camp Toyoyo Grounds in midweek, consequently rising to second, four points behind Vihiga United and level on points with Nairobi Stima. A win for Ushuru will keep their promotion push alive. Isibania, on the other hand, will be hoping to put behind a 2-0 loss to Vihiga United in their last match with a convincing result against the Taxmen

Early in the day, before the live double header, two matches will be played at Camp Toyoyo. The first match will pit Nairobi City Stars against GFE 105 at 9 am while the second will see KCB host Nakuru All Stars. Nairobi City Stars, unbeaten in five matches, will be hoping to continue their resurgence under new coach John Amboko. GFE 105, meanwhile, will be looking to get back on track having lost four games in a row

Fifth placed KCB will also be going for all three points at stake to keep the pressure on the top four when they face Nakuru All Stars. The latter, under new coach Ezekiel Akhwana, has only gained a point in their last three matches, having lost to GFE 105 and Agro Chemicals before holding Kibera Black Stars to a 0-0 stalemate. A positive result against KCB will be welcome for the Nakuru based side

Meanwhile, at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu, Wazito will be up against home side Palos. Wazito heavily lost 7-1 to AFC Leopards in the GOtv Shield Quarterfinals last weekend and will be hoping for a swift turnaround of fortunes. They will, however, find it tough against a Palos side that has lost only once at home this season, against GFE 105 in March

Kibera Black Stars has played out two 0-0 stalemates in a row; a win for the NSL debutants will be very welcome

NSL silent assassins Nairobi Stima will be on the road to face Bidco United at the Thika sub-county Stadium. Nairobi Stima, third on the log with 43 points, still have high chances of promotion and will be out to take maximum points. Bidco United recruited heavily in the mid season transfer window and will be no pushovers

Basement club MOSCA will be hosting Modern Coast Rangers at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos as from 1 pm. MOSCA has been at the bottom of the log since the opening week, having not won a single match this season. Modern Coast lost 3-0 to Nairobi City Stars in their last match; a positive result against MOSCA will be crucial
